Recently, the leading phone carrier lowered their fees on most service plans that have data, however, you probably didn't notice because Verizon didn't advertise the change. So what's different? On 2/5, Verizon added 1GB of data to each of its existing 1-3GB data packages, which cost $40 to $60 per month. If you're a Verizon customer, your current bill will be unchanged, however, if you don't want or need the data increase you can save $10 per month by asking for a rate adjustment for a limited time. <-- Sneaky, huh?
So here's what you need to do to get this new lower price. Honestly, I do this with my carrier (who's not Verizon) from time-to-time and I've saved thousands over they years. Yes, thousands for just asking :)
- Call Verizon's customer service at 1 (800) 922-0204 OR
- Go to MyVerizon and sign in.
- Ask to opt-in to the new pricing structure. Be sure savings is applied
More from online:
Customers can go to the MyVerizon Website starting Thursday to opt in or out of the new pricing structure, which is set to offer either a discount on current plans or more data for the same rate currently being paid. However, the discounted pricing is a limited-time offer. http://bit.ly/1ybBzgL
