Review: Prelude to a Hero + Super Pack GIVEAWAY!!

I am so excited! Today we have a fun giveaway from author and illustrator, Jaime D. Buckley. Creator of the 'Chronicles of a Hero' series, Jaime focuses on writing epic adventures that have a positive influence on children and young adult readers. I just finished reading his first book, 'Prelude to a Hero' and really enjoyed it!

 

Jaime's freshman book, 'Prelude' is about a green, fresh out of High School teenager named Wendell. He's eager to get out into the world and make his mark... or so he thinks. Wendell seems more talk than walk. In fact he's about as naive as they come, which is unfortunate for Wendell. A turn of events will quickly force him to wise up, discover the courage within him and brace for the adventure that's now his destiny.

This book is full of action, aliens, furry creatures, and tall tales. It also parallels life situations that most teenagers face in their "transition years". Moving on, branching out, meeting new people and struggles - this series encourages young adults to persevere under pressure (with a bit of wit and fun mixed in!).

For fans of titles like 'Harry Potter', 'InkHeart', or 'Pendragon' this would be a great addition to your book collection.  It's difficult to find stories that truly display character growth and courage quite like what readers get to enjoy through Wendell's adventures.
